Going Coastal

I’ve been out on these rocks in the dead of winter and the thickest of fogs.  When it was freezing cold and raining hard.  At sunrise and sunset.  Rewards have been collected in the form of beautiful footage and a camera has been lost to the waves.  All very high risk high reward.

Then there are days like this one.  Cool and a little windy without a cloud in the sky.  The laziest of low tides brushing the rocks.  Not much drama but lots of beauty.  I love these days.

But there is no reason to be predictable.  Instead of linking two longer clips I cut them both in half and turned two clips into four.  The idea is that since my eyes wander when I sit on the beach I should let the camera take a long look and then wander off for another.

I can’t tell what time of day you did this but the colors are breathtaking. The contrast from dark blue to white to green is very vivid. The ocean never fails your camera.

I like the 2nd and 4th framing better than the other 2. You are right – it is beautiful. Great example of Slow tv as I understand it.
