Round and round

We have landed in the south of France; Saint Remy de Provence.  A lovely place where nothing moves.  It is probably the heat.  It presses against the stone walls and fills the gaps between leaves.  With leftover bits hiding in the shadows.  A breeze may nudge a leaf now and again.  But on the whole nothing moves.

The soundtrack for all this stillness is provided by the Cicada bugs.  For them this is the summer of love.  A fact they do nothing to hide.  The buzz in the background is provided by a chorus of thousands.

Our refuge is a rented house at a resort called Provence Paradise.  The very old and thick walls help with the warm air and the noisy bugs.  The guests and staff help with everything else.  Delightful place.

A water wheel is at the center of our hamlet.  Inspired by gravity it circles round and round.  We stare between sips of wine.  You are invited to join us for a minute and a half.  The local drink of choice is rose.
