Astronomers say summer begins on June 21st. The day the sun reaches it’s highest point in the sky. That is a little technical for some. Especially, the impatient people. They might prefer that summer start earlier. Maybe January 3rd.
Skiers would not stand for it. Not to mention the considerable April/May flower crowd. So as a matter of compromise, Memorial Day is considered the beginning of summer.
The official start of long days. The official start of evenings for friends, for errands, for ourselves. A time when we are free to bend the warm air and the lingering twilight to our own purpose.
May we suggest a SlowTV look at the ocean? Waves brushing up against the last rays of summer sun under a painted sky. No cuts, transitions, or edits of any kind. Just you and the ocean.
Please join us now at the end of a long day for a two minute look at the sea and a quiet moment with yourself.
