Hot Mustard

The rain has changed.  It is warmer, fragrant and falling more gently.  Spring is here.

Last weekend we returned to the Napa Valley.  Intending to capture video of the wind and rain as it played with the mustard cover crop.  This treat for the eye is about to become food for the grapes.  Spring is the time to plow it under.   A previous blog had a well received mustard clip and we thought it deserved an entry of it’s own.

Of course the weather had other plans.  The wind and rain left the Valley minutes before we arrived.  Reducing our ability to capture activity.  Challenging us to find another way.  We hope you approve the effort.

As a side note, this entry carries us over the six month mark.  Absolutely, not possible without your encouragement.  Thank you.

Please join me for a two minute goodbye to the mustard of Napa Valley.  To get the best views the camera had to be kept low.  It cost us something in terms of background bird noise.  It is there but it is faint.  Enjoy.
