Look, Sea

There is almost always a camera in the car these days.  Ten weeks in I am still excited about SlowTV idea.  Most of the time.

On this particular day I was running an unrelated errand.  The weather was cold and overcast.  Clouds spitting the uneven way seagulls squawk.  Nothing to do but business.  A drive to the shore would accomplish nothing and add fifteen minutes to a long drive home.

Still, the camera was in the back seat.  The beach only a few miles away.  A visit might allow me to drive home after rush hour.  Beach rationalizations are easier.

And this clip is one of the reasons why.  A little sun and surf squeezed between the sinking clouds and the rising tide.  Surfers, dog walkers, frisbee players and couples all claimed their bit of beach and there was still enough left over for you and me.

The camera ran for almost half an hour.  These two minutes are from the beginning.  Two from the end will probably come around after the first of the year.  It will be another chance to remember that if I don’t go look I will not sea.

Happy Thanksgiving!
