Several of the clips I used last week were real favorites. Putting them in to see how they played was like playing with sketches ahead of painting the actual picture. It is a great rationalization. But the intent of the blog is to advocate for the result not the process.
So this week I am offering a study in color. As the clip opens your eye is drawn to the falls. Motion captures your attention. But in a very brief two and a half minutes the star becomes the rock wall to the right. It starts out tan and ends up orange. Bright Orange. One of Fall’s brightest colors.
And that is Slow TV. The quiet evolution or unfolding of a scene. Your eye falls on one part of the screen and is invited to explore the rest. It is the thoughtful visit to an unfamiliar place. Thank you for sharing it with me.
